(Note: This article was written during my 5th week on the Jenny Craig program, which was the week of March 16, 2020).
I’ve always been a breakfast eater. Even on the busiest of mornings when I’m getting ready for work and getting kids out the door to school, I HAVE to have something to eat. If I skip breakfast or don’t have time for my cup of coffee, I get cranky. Really cranky. Which makes me a little desperate to have something to eat. Which in turn leads to bad decisions, like grabbing a latte and a scone from the coffee place near my work. Yeah, that may have happened once or twice…a week.
But not anymore!
During my first four weeks on the Jenny Craig Rapid Results program most of my mornings were those hectic, rush-rush, get everyone out the door kind of mornings. But I didn’t have the urge to stop at the coffee place even once. Why? Because healthy breakfasts are part of the Jenny Craig Rapid Results menu, and honestly? They are one of my favorite parts.

Classic Waffles with Breakfast Syrup, Maple French Toast, Sunshine Sandwich with egg, ham, and cheese, and so many more…all delicious and ready to eat within minutes. And when I didn’t even have minutes to spare? Jenny Craig had me covered with portable items like Blueberry & Oats Square or Cranberry Almond Barscotti, which are easy to eat on the go. Paired with a Jenny Craig Vanilla Cream Shake, blended with ice and fruit, these make for a super-satisfying breakfast, even in my car!

But what about coffee on Jenny Craig, you ask? (Or at least I did, because…COFFEE.)
The answer is yes, you can have coffee on the Jenny Craig Balanced Menu plan! You can drink it black, put in some zero-calorie sweetener, or add some fat-free or 1% milk on days you’re allotted a milk serving. I love to froth my milk and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. On days I have Jenny Craig shakes instead of a milk serving, I like to blend my hot coffee with the Milk Chocolate Delight Jenny Craig Shake mix for a yummy morning mocha.
Like many of you, my mornings have changed drastically over the past week. I’m trying to work from home, and the kids are home from school. And you know what? Jenny Craig still fits perfectly in my morning routine. Without the hectic morning rush, I actually have had time to sit with my coffee and my Jenny Craig breakfast, attempting to practice mindful eating and taking time to actually enjoy my meals. Yep, they ARE as good as I thought!
No matter what lies ahead in my day, Jenny Craig breakfasts help me start my day right.
