This article highlights my journey with Jenny Craig from March 8-14, 2020.
Wow. What a week. As I write this, events are being canceled, schools are closing, and many people seem to have collected enough toilet paper to build cushy, two-ply condos. Things are very uncertain and very stressful. For me, stress leads to emotional eating, and emotional eating leads to weight gain.
But not today. Today I have a freezer stocked with Jenny Craig food and a PLAN. It’s a huge comfort to know that Jenny Craig eliminates the worry of thinking about what and how much to eat, and gives me an alternative to overeating in times of stress. Jenny Craig takes decisions about food OFF of my mental plate and puts delicious Jenny Craig food on my actual plate. For that, I am so grateful.
Of course, life is still stressful. And sometimes stress can only be alleviated with one thing. Chocolate. But is it possible to have chocolate on a weight loss plan?
YES! I’ve mentioned my love for the Jenny Craig Chocolate Lava Cake (multiple times), but there are many chocolate options. My other favorites are the Triple Chocolate Cheesecake, the S’mores Bar, and the Jenny Craig Snack Bars that are packed with protein AND chocolaty goodness. In fact, I feel a little bit of my stress decreasing just thinking about these treats. Jenny Craig chocolate menu items are decadent, satisfying, and best of all…ON PLAN.

So, how am I really dealing with the stress of the current moment? I'm trying to exercise, spend some time in nature, and stay 100% on the Jenny Craig Rapid Results plan. In fact, just today after scrolling through way too much upsetting news, I did NOT eat a box of cookies or a pint of ice cream. Instead, I laced up my sneakers, put a Jenny Craig Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar in my pocket, and went for a walk outside.
Believe me, I'm still going to feel all of the emotions, but because of Jenny Craig, those emotions aren't going to lead to weight gain. Now, in the face of stress, I remind myself to Keep Calm and Stay on Plan -- the Jenny Craig Rapid Results Plan.
