My Jenny Craig Weight Loss Journey by the Numbers

I'm taking a deep breath right now, because this is a big moment. Despite my best intentions to be transparent during my Jenny Craig weight loss journey, I have been keeping some important information from you.  Although I have shared personal goals and challenges (like my motivation for losing weight, my eating habits, and my successes), I have left out one little detail in the big picture: My actual weight.

I am 2/3 of the way through my Jenny Craig Weight Loss Journey. The 8-week mark seems like a good time for a progress check-in and a reality check. So, I am exhaling nervously and ready to share my progress by the numbers.

Weeks on the Jenny Craig Program: 8

Calories per day: About 1200...but I don't have to count them! It's one of my favorite things about the Jenny Craig program. Jenny counts for me!

Jenny Craig Meals and Snacks I've eaten: Close to 280. That's 3 meals and 2 snacks per day for 8 weeks (not counting a serving of fruit as a snack). 

Jenny Craig Meal Options I have to choose from: Over 100 delicious entrees, desserts, and snacks developed by more than 40 professional chefs. No wonder I am not bored!

And now the numbers I'm absolutely terrified proud to share. You know, those pesky little numbers that up until this point I've only shared with my doctor and my Jenny Craig consultant. Yep, you can count yourselves among the inner circle!

Starting weight: 183.6 lbs

Current weight: 169.0 lbs

Weight Loss: 14.6 lbs* (Wowza! Ok, I AM proud to share this number!)

*Results not typical. Members following the Jenny Craig program lose 1-2 pounds per week on average. I received promotional consideration.

Inches lost:

Bust: 3 inches (That's back fat gone, ya'll!)
Waist: 5 inches (This is really where I notice it most.)
Tummy: 1.5 inches (Slowly but surely shrinking!)
Hips: 5 inches (Woot! My pants feel looser!)

Total: 14.5 inches GONE! #JennyCraigSuccess

Phew! There they are. My very personal, very real, newly transparent numbers, out there for anyone Googling "Jenny Craig Weight Loss" to see. (If that's you...hi there stranger, and welcome to my inner circle of trust.) It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, because I AM recognizing the success and I'm proud of it.
