Family Funday Events at Fort Lowell Museum

The Fort Lowell Museum at 2900 N. Craycroft Road is scheduled to open toward the end of 2023, but until then, “pop-up” Family Funday events will be held outside the museum building.  Join us for some seasonal family fun and adventure – no RSVP necessary! Donations appreciated.

Dia de los Muertos/Halloween Family Funday
Saturday, October 28, 10 am-1 pm
Get into the holiday “spirit” by coming in costume and/or face paint. We’ll have a selfie station to capture your creativity! Attendees will learn about both Halloween and Dia de los Muertos through the following activities:
**Decorating plaster skulls to mimic sugar skulls
**Creating straw skeletons and climbing spiders
**Making Dia de los Muertos candle holders
**Having their faces painted by a face painter



Cultures of Tucson Family Funday
Saturday, November 25, 10 am-1 pm


Modern-day Tucson is the result of diverse cultures coming together over time. Attendees will learn about many of these cultures through some of the following activities:
**Making corn husk dolls
**Designing Alebrijes
**Creating Chinese dragons or lanterns
**Creating pottery or making figurines
