The Youth Center at Literacy Connects is a space where students ages 11-14 can creatively express themselves and engage in social-emotional learning. In the fall of 2020, The Youth Center is offering FREE virtual workshops that allow students to develop important skills while connecting with other young people and having fun!
- Write their own stories and turn them into a series of films.
- Discover the strengths and assets they bring to their communities.
- Learn to work towards common goals
- Practice clarifying roles, rotating leadership, and giving and receiving feedback.
- Build skills in technology and teamwork
- Create lasting relationships
Fall workshops include acting, film editing, digital animation, online marketing, and more. See the September and October calendars below:
