Join the Fox for this virtual event starting on Thursday, June 18

By Fox Tucson Theatre June 12, 2020

Books, movies, activities, oh my! The Fox’s annual literacy event has GROWN into a free, month-long, online extravaganza. We may not be gathering in person, but we can still come together as a community around literacy, as we harness art and fun to stave off this year’s amplified summer learning losses.

Starting right around Midsummer’s Eve — when the magic of creativity flourishes, à la Shakespeare—Fox will feature:

  • Free streaming literacy-related short movies
  • Performing-arts based activities for bringing literacy to life in the home (or anywhere else)
  • Online literacy resources and
  • Amazing literacy opportunities from community partners.

It’s truly a literacy extravaganza!

New featured content will be added every Thursday for four weeks, starting on June 18th. Check out https://foxtucson.com/kit/education/midsummer-literacy/ and follow the Fox Facebook page.

Once each Thursday's exciting content is posted, it will available as an ongoing resource for families on the KIT (Kids in Theatre) pages on the Fox website. While you're there, you may also want to explore some of the existing art & literacy resources, like the Fox Theatre for Families at Home productions.

Please join us for this midsummer event for children and families — It’s truly a literacy extravaganza!

Support for A Midsummer Literacy & Arts Extravaganzas was provided by The Stocker Founda0on and The Arts Founda0on for Tucson and Southern Arizona funded by the City of Tucson and Pima County, with additional support from the Community Founda0on for Southern Arizona.
