Tucson & Southern Arizona 4th of July Fireworks & Festivities

It's not too soon to start planning your 4th of July weekend! Here is a list of FREE (or cheap) 2015 July 4th Fireworks and Festivities in Tucson (and a few road-trip worthy events elsewhere in Southern AZ).

July 4th Evening Events

  • "A" Mountain Fireworks.  Scheduled to begin at 9:15.  These fireworks can be seen from many parts of the city, but consider heading to the TCC Parking Lot B (Granada between Congress and Cushing Street) for entertainment, food and more. Details of the TCC event still TBA. Viewing the fireworks: FREE.
  • Mercado San Augustin. View the 'A' Mountain Fireworks and enjoy music, food trucks and Native American Dancers starting at 5 PM. $5 Parking.
  • Sonoran Glass School. The Sonoran Glass school is having festivities, food, and a viewing party for the 'A' Mountain display. Games, demonstrations and crafts start at 5 PM. $5 admission.
  • Davis Monthan AFB Fireworks Display.  DM has a 4th of July celebration beginning at 6 PM at Bama Park for those who are able to get on base.  Fireworks are scheduled for 9:00.  I've been told that Golf Links near Craycroft is a good spot for off-base viewing.
  • FC Tucson 4th of July Blast. Come celebrate 4th of July by watching FC Tucson play a match against Albuquerque Sol FC at Kino Sports Complex. Game starts at 7:30.  FIREWORKS about 30 minutes after the game. Kids 5 and under are FREE. $6.50/kids 5-14 (on-line; $8 kids at the gate); $10/adults.
  • Oro Valley 4th of July Celebration.  Festivities begin at 5:00 PM at James D. Kriegh Park with games, food trucks, live entertainment and more. Fireworks at 9 p.m. FREE!
Other 4th of July festivities in Southern Arizona
  • Benson: Parade, water fight, vendors, food and music. Fireworks at 8:30 PM followed by a concert in the park until 10:30. 
  • Bisbee: Coaster races, parade, Bisbee-style "drilling and mucking" contest, entertainment and fireworks. 
  • Mt. Lemmon: 40th Annual 4th of July Parade and free patriotic concert. Festivities start at 10:45 AM with the parade starting at noon. 
  • Sierra Vista: "Pets & People" promenade, food, military displays, entertainment and fireworks.
  • Tubac: The morning of July 4th the Tubac chamber of commerce has games, entertainment and a fire-engine "squirt down." (FREE). The Tubac Golf Resort & Spa have a festival and fireworks in the evening for $10/car.
