Macaroni Review: Nerf Super Soakers from Hasbro

An #MKSummerFun sponsored review

May 22, 2015
Summertime means water play, and what better toys to turn to for soaking wet fun than Nerf Super Soakers from Hasbro?

Hasbro provided TWO fun water blasters for our #MKSummerFun party: the
Nerf Super Soaker Flashflood Water Blaster and the brand new Nerf Rebelle Super Soaker Tri Threat Crossbow. Both were a hit with the children at the party, and they were all eager to try to them out.

The Nerf Super Soaker Flashflood Water Blaster has 2 separate nozzles. We didn't realize this at first, but the top nozzle is connected to a separate large tank, and you need to pump the handle to fill it up. Once full, the Flashflood Water Blaster shoots up to 38 feet away with a pretty powerful stream of water!

The Nerf Rebelle Super Soaker Tri Threat Crossbow was a huge hit with my daughters. My 5-year-old noticed immediately that there were three separate nozzles, "So water comes out THREE places!" The tank holds 25 ounces of water, and the streams go up to 35 feet.

Both of these toys are recommended for children ages 6+. This seems to be appropriate, as they are a bit large and somewhat heavy when filled. The Flashflood Water Blaster requires some coordination to fill the second chamber. Interestingly, the three 8-year-olds at our party (2 boys and a girl) gravitated toward these toys this most, suggesting that 8 may be the prime age for Super Soaking fun, although most children 6+ would probably love to play with these water blasters on a hot summer day!
