Hurry! Only a few spots left in the popular UA Fusion Camps!

April 24, 2015
UA Fusion Camps are created for Tucson children by a partnership between Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium and the UA Bookstore. Children spend a week immersed in themed camps that combine literacy, creative arts and science with plenty of hands-on learning experiences and lots of fun!

Two of this year's UA Fusion themes for middle school aged students highlight technology in new and exciting ways.

Extreme Exploration (July 6-10) is a tech-filled week that will bring campers into the world of extreme environments – from the ocean depths to deep space. Campers will design Mars rovers, experience near zero gravity, and take a field trip to Biosphere 2, and learn about the largest telescope mirrors on the planet, spun at the UA.

Digital Storytellers (July 13-17) will teach campers to use tech tools to create digital scrapbooks and stop-motion animation videos. Children will learn about storytelling elements, and tell their own stories by the end of the week, sharing videos with fellow campers on the Planetarium's Full-Dome system.

Camps are $250 for a full day, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Early (7:30-9am) and extended (4-6pm) care are available for an additional charge.

UA Fusion Camps are very popular and fill quickly! Visit uafusion.arizona.edu to register today.
