Get ready to cheer on the best local high school musical talent as Tucson musical theatre students participate in The Tucson "Sing Off" on May 3rd. The Sing Off will be held to award Best Actor and Actress and 10 finalists who will then compete in the upcoming Southwest Region Competition, hosted by legendary Broadway performer Ben Vareen. The Ben Vareen Southwest Region Competition will also be held in Tucson, on May 24th, and the winners will compete in New York at the National Competition.
At the Sing Off, all qualifying high school musical theatre programs will be recognized, and trophies will be presented for Best Musical, Best Director, and Best Creative Elements. Members of the audience will also get to vote for their favorite performer of the night for the Audience Choice Award.
